Candidate information can be sensitive and confidential to share with external parties (e.g.government numbers, gender, ethnicity, etc.). To address this issue, you have the option to hide Candidate Attributes to users with no owner access or when sharing candidate profiles with guests.

Here's a walk-through video to help you manage candidate attributes.

Hide candidate attributes to non-owner users

1. Go to Candidate Attributes and choose the attribute you like to restrict to Owner Access only.

2. After clicking on the Candidate Attribute, on the Advanced Settings, click on the option Restrict Candidate Attributes to Owners. Then hit Save.

The candidate attribute should now only be visible in the candidate profile and searchable if user permission is Owner.

The restricted candidate attribute will also be hidden from non-owner users on the chat history and on the candidate profile. Instead of the answers, users will see a text in italics: “This data has been marked as private.”

When exporting candidate information, these hidden candidate attributes will also not be available for non-owner users. The data points connected to these attributes will also be hidden.

Hide candidate attributes to Guests

1. Go to Candidate Attributes and choose the attribute you like to stay hidden.

2. After clicking on the Candidate Attribute, on the Advanced Settings, click on the option Mark data as private. Then hit Save.

Now, you can share the profile with a guest while keeping that Candidate Attribute hidden. Once the reviewer receives the email and tries to access the Candidate's Profile. The private attributes you marked will stay hidden like the screenshot below.
