Facebook's recent policy changes have presented new challenges for recruiters in following up with applicants to complete pending interviews. To streamline the process, a Delayed Chasing Messages feature has been implemented, enabling chatbots to automatically send reminder messages to encourage candidates to finish their applications. Here's a breakdown of specific scenarios and expected outcomes for each folder within the chatbot system.

Here’s a quick guide on how will these delayed messages work:

Unassigned Folder

  1. Initiate a conversation with the bot and accept the GDPR terms.

  2. Wait for 31 minutes.

Expected Result: Your profile will be created in the Unassigned folder. No chasing messages will be received.

Inbox Folder (Pending Application):

  1. Start the conversation and agree to the terms.

  2. Search for a job and select a job campaign.

  3. Wait for 31-35 minutes.

Expected Result: Your profile will be placed in the Inbox folder of the selected campaign. You should receive the first chase message with four buttons:

Done: Indicates that you have completed the application. No second chase message will be sent.

Report an issue: Provides categories for bot errors. Selecting one will end the conversation, and no second chase message will be sent.

Remind me later!: Triggers the second chase message after an hour. The third chase message will be received after 22 hours.

Apply!: Allows you to complete the application.

Note: If no button is selected, the chase message will stop by default.

Completed Folder:

  1. Complete an application by selecting a job.

  2. Wait for 31 minutes.

Expected Result: Your profile will be moved to the Completed folder of the selected campaign. No second chase message will be triggered.

Shortlisted Folder:

  1. Complete an application by selecting a job.

  2. Wait for 31 minutes.

  3. Shortlist your profile.

Expected Result: Your profile will be placed in the Shortlisted folder of the selected campaign. No second chase message will be triggered.

Rejected Folder:

  1. Complete an application by selecting a job.

  2. Wait for 31 minutes.

  3. Reject your profile.

Expected Result: Your profile will be moved to the Rejected folder of the selected campaign. No second chase message will be triggered.

Facebook's Delayed Chasing Messages feature empowers chatbots to send automated reminders to applicants, assisting recruiters in streamlining the interview process. Understanding the specific scenarios and expected outcomes for each folder within the chatbot system ensures a smoother experience for both candidates and recruiters.
