🧠Learning Outcomes:

  2. Learn how to create a custom URL for the Landing page

  3. How to set up the landing page to redirect to your company's website

📌Why is it important?

Custom sources allow users to track the source of each candidate. For instance, you may be using these URLs on different advertising platforms (e.g. Google ads, Facebook traffic ads, etc). In such cases, you can generate custom sources that will allow you to identify which of these sources the candidate began their application in, thereby allowing you to assess the performance of each advertising source).

📝Use Case:

  1. The client wants to track the sources of their leads.

  2. The client wants to redirect the candidates to their company website after completing the landing page interview.

⚙️How to configure it?

I. How to create a custom URL for Facebook Messenger

Step 1: Upon logging in to Talkpush, select a campaign.

Step 2: Go to campaign settings.

Step 3: On the left pane, click on the sourcing tab.

Step 4: Under the "track a custom source in Messenger URL" section, select the FB page to be used.

The list of FB pages that will show on the drop-down list is the same as the FB pages that are linked to the "Facebook Messenger" section.

In case you don’t know how to link your Facebook page you can make reference to this article: Linking multiple Facebook pages to your Talkpush account

Step 5: Across the "source", type in the desired custom source.

Step 6: Lastly, click on the "Create URL" button to save your changes.

The created custom source will appear below the "previously created messenger URLs" section and can be easily copied by clicking on the "copy" button.

II. How to create a custom URL for Landing Page

Step 1: Upon logging in to Talkpush, select a campaign.

Step 2: Go to campaign settings.

Step 3: On the left pane, click on the sourcing tab.

Step 4: On the landing pages section, click 'Add a URL'. under 'Source Name', type in the desired custom source. Currently, it requires a 'Redirect URL' so you can use your company website URL, Facebook page link, or any other sites you'd like your candidates to be routed to. You also need to indicate the waiting time in seconds before a candidate gets routed to a different page.

Step 5: Lastly, click on the "Create URL" button to save your changes.

III. Set up the landing page to redirect to your company's website

Step 1: Upon logging in to Talkpush, select a campaign.

Step 2: Go to campaign settings.

Step 3: On the left pane, click on the sourcing tab.

Step 4: On the landing pages section, under "Redirect/Reload from Landing Page", paste the company's website URL.

Step 5: Lastly, type in the number of seconds after which the landing page should redirect the candidate to the company after completing the landing page interview.

Now all the candidates that use this link, in their information, will appear that comes from source:”test-custom-source” and you will be able to use this data to filter the candidates.

💡Pro-tip:

Reload the job landing page (very useful as a sign-up form for an offsite event)

Once you've created a custom source landing page URL, you can copy this and use it as the 'redirect URL' so the page automatically reloads to the same landing page.

When it reloads, the landing page will show the beginning of the flow again, the job description.
