Nothing beats a good old-fashioned phone call when it comes to truly understanding a candidate. While technology in Talkpush has given us countless ways to collect data—from Messaging Apps to Landing Pages—many employers still value the personal touch of a voice interaction to validate information and build stronger connections.
Enter Sam, our AI-powered voice interviewer, designed to bring this human-like experience into high-volume recruitment. Integrated into Talkpush, Sam delivers human-like interactions through voice calls, generating instant reports and job-matching insights directly within the Candidate Profile. With Sam, you can automatically invite, re-engage, interview, and follow up with candidates, adapting to their preferences and language while reaching out at the most convenient time.
Special Beta Trial: If you're interested in trying Sam, reach out to your Account Manager to get started. You're beta trial will include 100 voice calls free of charge. (Offer available Dec 10 - Dec 29, 2024).
How Sam Integrates with Talkpush
Sam can be configured within Talkpush through Autoflow to automatically call candidates, enhancing engagement throughout the hiring process and ensuring no lead is left unattended by engaging inactive and active applicants through personalized calls, saving hours of manual outreach. This setup enables Sam to:
Re-engage cold/inactive leads: Call to candidates who have not recently interacted, encouraging them to re-enter the recruitment process.
Conduct interviews at various stages: Facilitate interviews during different phases of the hiring journey.
Update candidates on their application status: Provide timely notifications such as reminders, rejection notices, document requests, and more.
Additionally, Sam's call data can populate Candidate Attributes, further automating the recruitment workflow.
Sam is located in the Templates Tab, where you can view the various AI recruiters assigned to your account. You can set up multiple AI recruiters, each tailored to different purposes, with unique names, personalities, languages, and accents to suit your recruitment needs.
Here's how you can access your available AI recruiters from the Templates tab:
Let’s take a look at Julieta, an AI recruiter who speaks English with an Australian accent. Julieta is tasked with engaging candidates that have been inactive in the recruitment process. Within her setup, you can view the configurations that provide her with contextual information for the call. In this example, we’ve included basic details such as:
Call to Action
Company Updates
Contact Details
Special Instructions
You could also configure additional data, such as:
Job Title
Interviewer Name
Interviewer Location
Special Instruction
Available Interview Dates
To take it a step further, we’ve ensured that the conversation captures relevant data, which is stored as Candidate Attributes. While the AI recruiter interacts with your candidates, it collects and records this information directly into the Candidate Profile. These Candidate Attributes can then be used to set up Autoflows or to easily review key details within the Candidate Profile.
After each call, you’ll find a detailed report in the Candidate Profile under the new AI Calls section. This section includes a summary of the call, the recording, and the data captured during the interaction. These insights allow you to evaluate the AI recruiter’s performance and assess how effectively it connects with your candidates. This way, you can refine your approach to better serve your audience.
Tailor Conversation with Specialized Modes
Customize each conversation to align with specific objectives by selecting from different specialized modes.
Modes | Function | Examples |
Deep Dive Mode | Encourages candidates to provide detailed answers, uncovering meaningful insights. | “Can you walk me through the specific steps you took to achieve this improvement?” |
Data Capture Mode | Collects measurable, factual data points for a clearer picture of candidate qualifications. | “What was the percentage by which you improved project delivery timelines, and how did you measure it?” |
Inclusive Language Mode | Ensures interactions use respectful, neutral, and bias-free language, fostering inclusivity. | “Thanks for sharing your perspective on leadership. It’s great to see your approach to teamwork.” |
Compliance Mode | Avoids questions that could violate legal or ethical hiring practices, focusing only on job-relevant topics. | "Instead of asking about marital status, it focuses on role-specific details like availability or experience." |
Personalized Interaction Styles
You can choose the conversational style you want your AI recruiter to adopt. This ensures alignment with your company’s brand and tone while creating a style that candidates find engaging and enjoyable. Available interaction styles include:
Casual and Direct: Friendly yet efficient, this style gets to the point while maintaining a warm tone. “Hi! Let’s get started with some quick questions about your experience.”
Informal and Fun: Chatty and engaging, adding humor or small talk to make candidates comfortable. “Hey there! Thanks for applying—let’s dive into your awesome experience!”
Formal and Polished: Professional and serious, perfect for official interactions. “Good afternoon. I’d like to start by learning more about your experience in this field."
Warm and Empathetic: Encouraging and supportive, offering reassurance and advice where needed. “Thanks for sharing! That sounds like a great experience. Let’s discuss how it aligns with this role.”
Efficient and Direct: Focused and concise, ideal for time-sensitive hiring. “Let’s quickly cover your availability and recent experience.”
Confident and Approachable: Balanced and conversational, presenting as an industry expert. “Your skills in marketing are impressive—let’s explore how they fit this role.”
Inclusive and Enthusiastic: Friendly and considerate, ensuring every candidate feels valued. “Your background sounds fascinating! Can you share more about your previous role?”
Short and Polite: Brief yet supportive, ideal for quick interactions. “Thanks! That’s all I need for now—let’s stay in touch.”
The great news about Sam is that its conversational flow isn’t restricted to a script. Instead, it follows a nonlinear approach that adapts to each interaction, addressing unique and unexpected questions while remaining focused on the conversation’s intended outcome. All of this is done while staying aligned with your company’s guidelines.
