Reaching out with a call after a candidate has disengaged can feel thoughtful and personal—especially when Sam provides a conversation that feels natural and human-like. With customizable personalities and voices, Sam ensures that candidates feel valued, increasing the likelihood they’ll re-engage with the processImmediate Understanding of Candidate Interest
During the call, Sam gathers key insights into the candidate's level of interest. This information is stored as a Candidate Attribute, which can trigger an Autoflow to seamlessly guide the candidate to the next step in the recruitment process.Efficient Handling of Declined Calls
If a candidate is uninterested or declines the call, Sam records this information as well. Using Autoflow, these responses can update the Candidate Profile to automatically reject the candidate or move them to a different folder for follow-up or archiving.

In this article, we’ll explore several Autoflow configuration ideas specifically tailored for re-engagement campaigns. To edit and configure Autoflow and Candidate Attributes, you'll need Owner Access.
Re-Engaging Unresponsive Leads
In this scenario, Sam steps in to re-engage candidates who have been inactive. When leads have been unresponsive for three weeks, they are moved to the 'No Response' Folder, where Autoflow will automatically take action. Once the candidates are moved to this folder, Autoflow waits two hours before triggering Sam to place a call to the candidate.
By reaching out at the right time, Sam ensures that no lead is overlooked, providing an opportunity to re-establish contact and keep the recruitment process moving forward.
Once the call is completed, there are five possible call statuses.
Each status can be configured as a Candidate Attribute to determine the next step in the recruitment process. To set this up, navigate to Leads Tab > Candidate Attributes in your Talkpush account.
And then, create the Candidate Attributes.
The purpose of mapping the call status is to automate the next steps based on the candidate's response. For instance, if a candidate declines the call, is sent to voicemail, doesn’t complete the call, or doesn’t pick up, you can configure Autoflow to schedule another call attempt. This ensures no candidate is left behind and maximizes the chances of re-engagement.
You can choose how and when the call will be triggered. Either set the call to be initiated immediately once the Autoflow triggers are met, or send the candidate a message first, allowing them to schedule the call at a more convenient time. This flexibility ensures that each interaction is aligned with the candidate's availability, enhancing the overall experience.
If the second attempt to reach the candidate fails, you can disposition them to a different folder, such as the Rejected Folder or another folder specifically for categorizing unresponsive or disengaged candidates.
By using Sam, you maintain full control over your pool of inactive leads, ensuring that every candidate receives the attention they deserve at the right time. No longer will you wonder about untapped potential in a pool of cold leads. With Sam, you can rest assured that even disengaged candidates have been contacted in a personal and efficient way using AI, ensuring no talent goes to waste.
Effective Candidate Re-Engagement
Imagine a scenario where the candidate re-engages with the process, and you want to move them to a pre-screening interview using Sam. It’s simple—just use a Candidate Attribute generated during the initial re-engagement call as a trigger for the next interview.
During the pre-screening interview, Sam will collect key data points based on your preferences. One such attribute could be "Candidate Interest." If Sam identifies that the candidate is eager to move forward, this Candidate Attribute will be populated, serving as the trigger for the next step in the process through Autoflow.
To implement this, you’ll first configure an Autoflow to automatically move the candidate to the ‘Initial Interview’ folder once ‘Yes’ is identified as the response under ‘Candidate Interest.’ This ensures the candidate is seamlessly advanced to the next stage, keeping the process efficient and personalized.
Afterward, if you’d like Sam to handle the next step, you can set up another Autoflow to make it happen. In this scenario, the triggers would be that the candidate is in the ‘Initial Interview’ folder and has been marked as ‘Sam Processed’—indicating they’ve already had an interaction with Sam. Once these triggers are met, Sam will be configured to reach out to the candidate to confirm if they’re ready to start their interview.
What’s even better is that Sam offers a variety of AI recruiters, each tailored for different styles and approaches. For instance, in this context, we’ve chosen Sarah—an AI recruiter known for her confident yet approachable demeanor.
