How does Sam work?
Sam is an advanced generative AI voice bot designed to handle repetitive and time-consuming activities to free up recruiters to focus on strategic tasks. It brings a transformative approach to recruitment. It streamlines the hiring process by conducting comprehensive initial interviews, which are available 24/7 and at a lower cost than traditional methods.
Setting Up Job Positions with Sam
Sam lets you enter essential job details manually. Simply provide the following:
On Job Positions, click +Add.
Enter the Job Position Name. Clearly label the role for easy tracking.
Then, enter the Job Description. Highlight the responsibilities, qualifications, and other job details.
You may also add a set of mandatory interview questions. While Sam can create a comprehensive list of questions tailored to the job description and a candidate profile, we understand that specific questions are crucial for the interview.
Once done, click Submit.
How to Upload Candidates to Sam
Add Candidates via Email
Under the Job Positions tab, you can copy the designated email address to add multiple candidates to a specific job position. If you send a resume as an email attachment to this address, Sam will extract the information and process it automatically.
You can also use this email address on job boards to automatically collect applications from job postings. Each candidate's profile will be created in Sam, ensuring seamless processing.
Individual Upload
On the Candidates tab, click on Add Candidate.
Select the job position to which you want to add this candidate and then upload the CV.
Once done, click Submit.
Candidate Bulk Upload
On the Candidates tab. Click on the three-dot menu beside the Add Candidate button and click on Upload Multiple Candidates.
Download the CSV Template and fill out the CSV with the candidate's details (name, email, and phone number).
Once the CSV is completed, upload the file. Then, select the Job Position to which you want to add these candidates.
Finally, click Submit.
Sam’s Dynamic Interview Question
Sam doesn’t just ask standard questions; it tailors its approach based on available candidate information and job requirements, ensuring a high-quality, relevant interview experience.
Candidate with a CV: Sam prioritizes the candidate’s CV, analyzing their experience, qualifications, and skills. It then tailors interview questions to align the candidate's background with the job requirements.
Candidate without a CV: If a candidate doesn’t have a CV—common for bulk uploads from CSV files—Sam still ensures a focused interview by using these options:
If Scripted Questions are available: Sam relies on these pre-set questions tailored to the job’s requirements, offering consistency across interviews.
If Scripted Questions aren’t provided: Sam dynamically generates questions based on the job description, focusing on core competencies and role-specific qualifications.
With Sam’s adaptable interview logic, every candidate undergoes a meaningful, role-relevant interview, whether they come with a CV or not.
Interview Reports
After each interview, Sam generates a comprehensive report featuring a Job Match Score, which evaluates how well the candidate’s responses align with the job requirements. With access to the interview recording, the full transcript, and personalized guidance, you gain valuable insights tailored to each candidate's fit for the role.
Upload a Document
Sam lets you upload one or multiple files containing job descriptions for a faster setup. Supported formats include PDFs, DOCX, JPG, and PNG files (up to 10MB each). Once uploaded, Sam displays a message—“Analyzing the job details and organizing the information”—and gets to work. Sam processes the document to generate automatically:
Job Position Name: Derived from your document.
Short Description: A quick overview of the role.
Full Job Description: Complete with role responsibilities and qualifications.
Scripted Questions: Sam identifies key points from the description to create relevant interview questions.
By offering these two options, Sam gives you total flexibility—whether you want a hands-on approach or prefer Sam to handle the details.
