A transcript can tell you what a candidate said. A video interview lets you see how they said it.
With AI Video Interviews, every AI Call can be recorded on video—giving recruiters and hiring managers a clearer picture of each candidate's communication style, presentation, confidence, and responses.
Watch interviews when it works for you, share them with hiring managers, and give stakeholders more context before making a decision.
Best of all? There are no changes to your existing campaign, interview questions, or candidate flow. Simply enable video recording for an AI Agent, and Talkpush takes care of the rest.
Here's a sample candidate interview with AI using our web interview.
Why use AI Video Interviews?
See more than the transcript. A transcript captures the candidate's answers. Video adds the context behind them. See how candidates communicate, present themselves, and respond throughout the interview—so you can get a more complete picture without needing to join every call live.
Review interviews on your own time. No need to rely solely on notes or summaries. Recorded interviews let recruiters and hiring managers watch, rewatch, and review candidate responses whenever it's convenient.
Make it easier to involve hiring managers. Instead of trying to explain how a candidate performed, share the interview itself. Give hiring managers and other stakeholders a direct look at the candidate's responses, communication style, and overall presentation.
Build more confidence in your AI hiring process. A video record gives your team another layer of visibility into every interview. See what happened during the conversation and compare the recording with the transcript and TalkScore results—all from the candidate's profile.
How It Works
The Record Video From Candidate setting lives in the AI Agent's configuration. When it's turned on, every AI Call handled by that agent captures a video feed of the candidate for the full call, alongside the usual audio and transcript. Once the call ends, the recording is processed and attached to the candidate's profile, where it plays back like any other call recording.
No changes are needed to the campaign, the questions, or the candidate's application flow. The video capture happens entirely on the AI Agent side.
How It Looks for the Candidate
The candidate opens their AI Call link, grants camera and microphone access when prompted by their browser, and ticks the Consent to Recording box to allow Talkpush to record the video and save it to their candidate profile.
The candidate answers the AI Agent's questions out loud, on camera, while the call is recorded in the background.
Nothing else changes. There's no extra prompt, disclosure, or step beyond the standard AI Call flow.

Q: Does turning this on change anything for candidates? A: No. The application flow, questions, and AI Call experience stay the same. The only addition is the browser's camera permission prompt, if the candidate's device doesn't already have one on file.
Q: Where can I watch the recorded video? A: On the candidate's profile, under their AI Call record. It plays alongside the transcript and TalkScore results.
Q: Can I turn this on for just one AI Agent? A: Yes. Record Video From Candidate is a per-agent setting, so you can enable it on some agents and leave it off on others.
Q: Does this change how the AI Agent asks questions or scores answers? A: No. Video capture only adds a recording alongside the existing call — it doesn't affect how the AI Agent conducts the interview or how answers are scored. |
