In Talkpush, the Play Media Question Type enhances Landing Page interviews by integrating audio or video clips. This exclusive feature adds an interactive element to your recruitment process, offering a dynamic and immersive candidate experience.

Here's Majo, Product Designer at Talkpush walking you through this feature.

Understanding the Play Media Question Type

Exclusively designed for landing page interviews, the Play Media Question Type allows you to upload audio or video clips. For optimal performance, the uploaded files must be within a 10MB limit and in one of the supported formats: mp3, mp4, or wav.

One of the key aspects of this feature is the control it provides over the replayability of the media clips. You can decide whether the candidates can replay your clips, ensuring a tailored approach to candidate engagement.

Candidate Experience with the Play Media Question

When visiting the landing page, candidates will encounter the Play Media question, where they can play the provided audio or video clip. Candidates are not required to input any answers for this type of question. A play bar indicates the progress and duration of the clip, providing an intuitive user experience.

After the clip concludes, candidates can proceed to the next question by clicking the 'next' button or 'submit' if it is the last one.

Implementing a Play Media Question

Incorporating a Play Media question into your campaign or question set follows the steps as any other prescreening question type.

  1. Choose the Play Media question type.

  2. Upload your audio or video file.

  3. Decide whether the clip can be replayed or not.

  4. Assign a unique "Question Name" for internal identification.

Please note that the Question Name is solely for internal reference and can be modified as required.

With the Play Media question type, your interviews acquire a new interaction layer, enriching your recruitment process.

3 Use Cases for the Play Media Question Type

  1. Checking Comprehension with Expanded Capabilities of TalkScore
You can upload a scenario or problem in audio or video format and then use the expanded capabilities of TalkScore to evaluate candidates' understanding. By tracking candidates' responses to follow-up questions related to the media clip, you get a clearer picture of their cognitive skills, analytical capabilities, and problem-solving acumen, making your selection process more robust.

  2. Employer Branding: Showcasing Benefits and Employee Testimonies
You can share engaging media content highlighting your organization's benefits, culture, and values. For instance, "Check out our benefits" could be an informative video tour of your company's unique perks, while "Listen to this testimony from an employee" might feature a heartening story from a team member. This provides an excellent opportunity to portray your company positively, building rapport with potential hires and setting the stage for a meaningful connection.

Delivering Training and Onboarding Content
By integrating instructive videos or audio clips into your landing page, you can easily distribute essential training materials to new hires. This multimedia approach can accommodate various learning styles, making your training more effective and engaging. From demonstrating a complicated procedure to sharing the company's vision and history, the Play Media question type adds a dynamic layer to your training and onboarding process.
